Vivienne Grand-scrutton raised over £1200 shaving her head for MS Research.

Vivienne chose to fundraise for MS Research because of her own experiences with relapsing remitting MS. After being diagnosed in 2011, Viv had to give up the job she loved in cooking, but her employers, Sunrise of Fleet care home, offered her a role as an activities assistant.

A part of this role is fundraising for good causes, Viv chose to shave her head for MS Research and we are hugely appreciative. A filled room watched as Viv braved the shave in the name of charity. Viv loves her role in Sunrise of Fleet and is proud of the activities she provides for the residents.

“I hope that I give the residents as much inspiration as they give me and am able to continue to work and live life to the fullest,” she explains.

Viv chose to fundraise for MS Research specifically because of how beneficial medical research in to MS has been. “When my uncle left hospital after his MS diagnosis, he was given cod liver oil tablets as there was so little treatment available to him. Research has come such a long way since then. What I am doing is a small thing, but if it helps somebody else then it’s worth it.”
