A new neurology review on ‘smouldering’ MS and disability raises questions on accepted concepts

This #mentalhealthawarenessweek, MS Research has been asking why psychological support and treatment for people with MS is hard to find. Of course, the current NHS staffing crisis means there are simply not enough clinical psychologists and mental health staff. However, there are also other reasons.  

The Charcot* award is given once every 2 years for outstanding lifetime research into  multiple sclerosis. We are delighted to learn that the International Federation for MS  (IFMS) has awarded the 2021 Charcot prize to Professor Alan Thompson who holds the Garfield Weston Chair of Neurology and Neurorehabilitation at University College London (UCL).

A recent scam pretending to be from the NHS, which is no longer in circultion, offered to provide a so called “covid passport” for those wishing to travel abroad. The service was offered at a price (“for administration”) the only point of which is to obtain personal financial details. Luckily, it was taken down rapidly, but others may pop up so please be aware.
