Film & Media Volunteer

Temporary 1 month, 1-2 days a week for a campaign with possibility of ongoing ad hoc requests
We are MS Research Treatment and Education, a national charity based in Bristol. We aim to improve the quality of life for those with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) through funding dedicated medical research. As a small charity, volunteers provide vital support, helping us raise awareness of MS, and increase funding for research in order to benefit people living with MS.
We are looking for a volunteer to create 1-3 short videos to assist with our fundraising efforts. The videos will be used online, to be in a choice of formats and lengths.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience working with a charity to help communicate essential messages through visual media.
MS Research are happy to be flexible in project design but have suggested ideas around text and format, as supported by still/ video images.
Experience of working to project briefs for film projects
Knowledge and experience of filming techniques, interviewing subjects and script writing.
Knowledge and experience of film editing software e.g. Adobe Premiere, Apple iMovie or Final Cut.
Knowledge of YouTube and social media platforms
A-level qualification/ equivalent or above
Experience of working with sensitive content would be desirable, but not essential.
Knowledge of experience of working with medical/ academic information.
Some travel is required for filming, and travel costs will be covered by MS Research.
Working location is flexible for editing. You are welcome to work out of our offices in Fishponds, Bristol if this suits you.
We are happy to provide references and there will be shared ownership of all film work.
