A unique all day event, Yard Life Music and Arts Festival will return on Saturday 28th April 2018 at Islington Metal Works.
First held in 2014, Yard Life is dedicated to supporting the hottest new talent while raising money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research. At Yard Life, you will discover incredible new bands & DJs, and there will be live interactive art installations, an art gallery, BBQ & street food, aerial performers and all sorts of other hidden gems.
Every penny of the ticket money will go straight to MS Research Treatment & Education. Yard Life founder Jen Lloyd lost her father to MS when he was just 46, and she has created the festival in his honour. “As a massive music fan my Dad would have loved Yard Life,” says Jen. “I feel it’s so important to raise awareness of this disease that’s most common in young people in their 20s & 30s. MS Research are making groundbreaking progress and we give every penny of our ticket sales to support them.”
The event will be hosted by BBC Radio 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins who says “Yard Life is a music lover’s paradise. It’s an awesome showcase of the best new bands around, all under one roof, raising money for an excellent cause”. He adds “The atmosphere was amazing, the bands loved playing and everyone who attended had the best of times. I have never been so impressed as I was by Saturday at Yard Life… Here’s to 2018!”
Many of the artists taking part in Yard Life will be announced when tickets go on sale on 31st May from www.yardlifefestival.co.uk
