On the 6th August Paul Pipkin (Pip) will be embarking on a 211 mile walk for MS Research. He will start in Whitehaven on the west coast of England and end up at St Marys lighthouse on the east coast going via the historic Hadrian’s Wall.
Since Pip’s wife Deb was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) 12 years ago they have both become dedicated fundraisers for MS charities and have supported MS Research since 2015 for which we are extremely grateful.
This will be Paul’s fourth fundraising event for us in as many years having previously trekked 186 miles around the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast, hiked 220 miles visiting the 25 castles of Kent and last but certainly no means least walked 977 miles from John O’Groats to Lands’ End journey! This means that according to our calculations Pip has covered 1383 miles for MS Research! What a hero!
His lovely partner Deb has also covered extreme distances for MS Research but of a different kind having recently completed a 15000 feet tandem skydive – that’s a distance of nearly 3 miles!
It’s not just incredible challenges that they have completed, their amazing adventures have raised nearly £7000 for vital research into MS! We are sure you will agree it is a phenomenal undertaking we are incredibly grateful to Pip, Deb and their family for their commitment to supporting our charity.
If you would like to donate please visit Pip’s Virgin Money Giving Page and updates on his journey will be available on his blog to see how he is getting on, we will be sharing updates throughout his trek.
